Request data deletion

Use this page to delete data from Highlighted Text Reader.

1. Delete saved highlights in the app

Open the app and swipe a saved highlight to delete it. That removes it from this device and from your synced cloud library.

2. Email us to delete remaining cloud data

Send a deletion request to faizanahmad.imsc@gmail.com.

In the email, write that you want your Highlighted Text Reader data deleted. If you have emailed us before (for example an extra-scan request), use the same address so we can find those messages.

What we delete

Saved highlights synced to our cloud (phrases, meanings, colors, and related metadata)
The anonymous account and daily scan-count record tied to it, when we can identify it
Support emails you sent us, if you ask us to delete those too

What we do not keep after a completed request

We do not keep your photos for advertising. Page photos are sent to Google only to read highlighted text, not stored by us as a photo library.

Short-lived QR transfer copies expire on their own (about 30 minutes). Crash and analytics logs follow Google’s retention for Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics and are not tied to your name.

Uninstalling the app

Uninstalling clears data on that phone. It does not always remove the anonymous cloud account or synced library. Email us if you also want the cloud copy deleted.
